Patrick Kuelz | Director, Research & Development
“Innovative IT allows us to provide the most robust, responsive, secure solution to give our users the best experience possible.“
Patrick’s background is diverse compared to the typical healthcare IT professional, which makes his successes that much more impressive. His career started in restaurants, where he bussed tables, washed dishes, cooked, and eventually managed. He then spent seven years following in family footsteps as an assembly line worker for General Motors.
When the plant closed, Patrick went back to school and, prior to graduating, landed a help desk role at Emdat in 2010. He quickly transitioned to the operations team and was promoted to the Emdat DevOps team when Nuance bought Emdat. From there, he earned another promotion to Senior Manager in the HIM space, which led to his leadership position at DeliverHealth Solutions.
Keep up with Patrick:
Four more for fun:
Patrick’s hobbies and interests: Camping, fishing, and hanging out with his family. Shortly after the pandemic began, he bought a pontoon boat “to get us through a boring COVID summer, so we spend quite a bit of time on the water in the warmer months.”
Where he finds his inspiration: By doing right by the people he is close with.
Four people (living or deceased) that Patrick would like to have dinner with: His grandfather, Milwaukee Brewers radio broadcaster Bob Uecker, Aaron Rodgers, and Dr. Temple Grandin, who is a pillar of the Autism community and a fierce advocate for people with Autism.
An interesting fact about Patrick that his peers might not know: “I might have a small phobia of large birds (and medium-sized birds … and a little bit of small birds).”
